Unbound. Condition: Near Fine. An archive of 2 letters, 1 receipt, and 3 flies from the Lorillard Refrigerator Company. All items about near fine with some creasing. The small collection includes letters and flyers from the Lorillard Refrigerator Company in the late 1800s. The flyers advertise three sizes available for refrigerator "for family use." The larger of the refrigerators also notes it can be used for "small restaurants." Each flyer provides an illustration of the product with dimensions and pricing below. The letters, dated July of 1898, are sent to Mr. S.H. Goodwin in Oneida, New York from an architect he was working with and the Lorillard Company discussing discounts and which refrigerator to buy. Architect, James Ware, writes, ".would say that I believe the best refrigerator concern in the city is the Lorillard Refrigerator Company of 1168 Broadway." The final item is a receipt for Sands' purchase of a "D" style refrigerator for $60. A modest but interesting collection of ephemera advertising Lorillard refrigerators.
