Published in the Hutchinsons Star Series of Books for Young People. Boards have bumping to the corners and to the top and bottom of the spine. There is some fading to the spine which has a vertical crease to the centre. Page edges are heavily browned. Previous owner's name and address in ink to the front pastedown. The front free endpaper has been removed. Pages are quite heavily browned but are otherwise clean and unmarked. Black and white illustrations by Norman Meredith throughout. Price clipped jacket has heavy chipping and the front panel is almost detached from the spine. There is a small section missing from the top of the spine and several chips and tears to the edges. First printing.
