Bound in original tan cloth, with black lettering to spine and black lettering and decorations to front cover. Inscribed by Kent to front free endpaper (in black and blue ink) thus: "To W. D. McDonald by his friend Rockwell Ke…nt", with McDonald's book label to front paste-down. Lettering and illustration on covers remain clear and bright. Covers admit to some wear, including a number of small bumps and worn through areas at extremities, including chipping to tail of spine. Light soiling and some darkening to exterior, with a few small, faint stains to cloth. Hinges are cracked, though all leaves remain in place. Mild soiling to a small number of leaves from handling, though this is not terribly offensive. Four leaves admit to short tears at extremities. The book lays squarely, though the binding requires some care in handling because of the cracked hinges. Despite wear, remains a fairly attractive copy. Volume measures approximately 11" x 8.75" 1". Rockwell Kent (illustrator). Inscribed by Author(s).
