Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition First Printing. Vintage pop-up children's tale featuring a bunny who lives in a shoe box as a little boy's pet, until he escapes one day, only to have harrowing encounters with a cat, dog, squirrel, & fox, until finally finding a Mother Bunny to give him a home. A FIRST EDITION from 1935, this nearly square small octavo (7.25" x 7.75") has colorfully decorated green wrappers, stapled binding, in 25 pages, with pop-ups spanning both front & rear endpapers--both function perfectly (though the front bunny has a 1/2" tear to his ear). Apparently there was supposed to be a third pop-up; price reduced as this is missing. Overall condition is VG: quite clean with the occasional random spot of smudge. Staples bright & secure with no rust. Pages significantly tanned, especially around edges, but supple. Exterior shows light rubbing to extremities, much heavier along spine (with some splitting & paper loss) & all corners. One vertical crease from the second "N" in title out to fore edge, 1 tiny tear to page 25/26 fore edge. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have. Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
