A curiously odd book which draws material from the victorian era author Professor Hoffmann (Angelo J. Lewis) and re organizes, re-formats, edits, and in most cases newly illustrates with b&w photos.

Original cloth covers are worn around the edges with ink names of three prior owners: Charles W. Waldmann, E. (Eugene) Gloye, and Jessmah. No other markings. Light stains on rear cover. Spine dulled. Pictorial front cover is still quite readable. Some signatures are somewhat delicately bound. Unlike Hoffmann's other books, this one is exclusively devoted to inventions and routines of his own creation and the patter gives a good insight into the type of humorous Edwardian era presentations that Professor Hoffmann presented. 222 pages plus ads.

In fact, at the time of listing, we could not locate a single example of the hardcover that was for sale.
