Staplebound. Condition: Very good. Staplebound paperback octavo, 44 pages. First edition, fourth printing. Book and cover with minor wear. Slightly tanned pages. No writing or marks noted. Robert Orben(1927 2023) was an American magician, comedy, and political speech writer. Orben wrote many books, most of which were collections of gags and "one-liners" originally written for his newsletter,Orben's Current Comedy. He was also a joke writer for comics such as Dick Gregory, Red Skelton, and Jack Paar. Magicdotes is a book of "anecdotes and stories about magic, magicians, and mentalists." Orben later became involved with politics, eventually becoming headspeechwriterto Vice PresidentGerald R. Ford in 1973.
