The photographs give, in something of chronological order, the story of the old schoolship Joseph Conrad's circumnavigation in 1934-35-36; and indicate in some measure the methods employed on board in the making of youthful sailors. A second group of photographs illustrates the work of the new Danish schoolship, Georg Stage, towards the same end. Over 200 photographs. Small loss to head of spine of d/w, and very small hole at center of spine of d/w. chipped. NOT PRICE CLIPPED. Boards slightly dusty at edges, head/tail of spine bumped.
