Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition, First Printing. A Man From Elsewhere by J. G. Farrell (Hutchinson New Authors Limited 1963). A nice copy of an extremely rare first edition book. Correct first printing. This was Farrell's debut novel and has never been reprinted. Farrell was later awarded the Booker Prize for the Siege of Krishnapur in 1973 and the "Lost" Booker Prize in 2011 for his book Troubles (1970). Very Good + book with no writing or marks. Small push to the base of the spine. Very Good jacket with very mild scrapes to edges and a tiny area of loss to the top of the spine. Not price clipped. Please see Firsteds for more rare J. G. First edition, first and only printing. Publisher's original black cloth with white titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and tight, the contents with a small previous owner's address label to the front free endpaper and very light spotting to the top edge of text block, otherwise clean and bright throughout. Complete with the original dustwrapper which is a little rubbed with small nicks at the spine tips. Not price-clipped. Booker prize winning author J. G. Farrell's rare first book, never reprinted. A near fine book without inscriptions in a very good+ unclipped wrapper with some light chipping to the edges and one closed tear to the rear panel with a small chip to the top edge of the rear panel. The author's scarce first novel.
