Copyright page lists twelve printings. This one is Feb 1938. Signed and inscribed by Leaf "To David with all best wishes" on the page opposite the title page. Corners and bumped and spine is faded. Some smudges and speckles on the cover. Front free endpaper has a 3" tear at the bottom, right in the gutter, where backing linen shows through. Binding is a little loose and page are a little faded. The blank pages at the back have pencil drawings on them (as they're supposed to). A scarce early title by Munro Leaf (author of Ferdinand the Bull). Signed by Author(s).
