    First edition, first issue of Thomas's third book with āDentā blind-stamped on spine. Octavo, original purple cloth with gilt titles to the spine and front panel, with the frontispieceĀportrait of Thomas after the painting by Augustus John. Presenation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Leo & John. From Dylan Thomas Oxford 1941." In very good condition. Among the 16 poems and 7 short stories included in this collection, which were initially published in periodicals between 1934 and 1939, are When all my Five and Country Senses see, After the Funeral, Not from this Anger, and The Mouse and the Woman.
