Several small stains on cover, minor edge wear, scattered light to moderate foxing. A small section of upper decorative border of map supplied in facsimile (not affecting… map proper.) Contemporary pencil ownership inscription of Georgia engineer C.D. Vincent on front free flyleaf, C.D. Vincent Athens Ga. Inscribed on page 161. Page 166 same person writes, All cannot tell the truth about Texas. overall a very good copy.

Dramtically heightened for the visual hierarchy are the period railroads. The Texas and Pacific Railroad runs off the map to the west meet with the Southern Pacific in at Sierra Blanco (1881). The Missouri, Kansas and Texas… (KATY Road)) runs off the map to the north. Dallas and Houston are shown as major railroad hubs., Very good with minor separations at fold extremities expertly repaired with archival mending tape.
