She focuses on experimental film and art of the moving image from an interdisciplinary perspective. Martin Mazanec is a curator and pedagogue. His focus is the curatorship and mediation of art of the moving image in the context of the gallery and the cinema.; Mapping the Moving Image. Media, Agents, and Sites in the Czech Context (Eine Kartografie bewegter Bilder. Medien, Akteur innen und Orte im tschechischen Kontext) bietet eine kritische Bestandsaufnahme der Verwendung bewegter Bilder in der tschechischen Kunst von den 1970ern bis in die Gegenwart. Wesentlich ist dabei eine Analyse der Foren und Ebenen, auf denen die Autonomie dieser Praxis verhandelt wurde. Die eigens für diesen Band geschriebenen Beiträge stammen von Autor innen mit kunsthistorischem und filmwissenschaftlichem Hintergrund, aber auch von Archivar innen und Kurator innen, die ihre spezifische Perspektive einbringen. Der Band gibt einen kohärenten Überblick und schafft Abhilfe angesichts des allenfalls fragmentarischen historischen Bildes, das wir von dieser Praxis bisher haben. Das Buch erscheint in Zusammenarbeit mit dem National Film Archive in Prag.Sylva Poláková ist Filmhistorikerin und Kuratorin.
