Inscribed on the front fly by Christopher Hassall, who contributed an essay: "London June 13, 1951. To Arnold. Hoping this may be the beginning of a series that I can add to from time to time. Includes a three-part article (spread over three issues) on the designs for the theatre by Rex Whistler, written by Cecil Beaton, James Laver and Laurence Whistler respectively.Joan Hassall was the art editor of issues 6 to 9, and contributed illustrations to issues 5, 6, 8 & 9. This copy has an autograph postcard signed by Hassall to Bevis Hillier tipped in.
