Seller: Cat's Curiosities, Pahrump, NV, U.S.A.
Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Our first offering in this lot is not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm stereo vinyl record album, Muza XL 0190, near-mint vinyl in a good-only cardboard jacket. (This typically flimsy European cardboard jacket shows considerable spider-webbing to lower left corner, as well as additional wrinkling associated with a 3/4-inch horizontal tear to right side of front panel.) Includes "Lulajze Jesuniu" (Sleep Little Jesus); "Gdy Sliczna Panna" (When the Lovely Virgin Mary); "Przybiezeli Do Betleem" (They Came Running to Bethlehem), and Franciszek Karpinski's "Bog Sie Rodzi" (God is Born), others. Tresc jest w ca?osci w jezyku polskim. Polish language. WE ALSO OFFER IN THIS LOT A BONUS 2-RECORD SET, Boze Narodsenie / Polskie Koledy, Data D598-9, near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus cardboard jacket which has been opened but which still wears its original shrink-wrap. Includes "Cicha Noc" (Silent night); "Dwzon' Dwzon' Dzwon" (Jingle Bells) and "Rudolf Z Czerwonym Nosem" (properly credited to J. Marks for the popular song, Polish lyrics by W. Dana, though of course Rudolph With His Nose So Bright was in fact created in 1939 by Montgomery Ward copywriter Robert L. May, when the department store management -- who bought and routinely gave away free coloring books at Christmas time -- decided they might save money by creating one of their own. (Whether this initially "saved them money" is unclear, as they gave away 2.4 million "Rudolphs" the first year.) And what would any Christmas album be without Irving Berlin's classic "Biala Gwiazdika" ("White Christmas") -- Polish lyrics by W. Dana? Soloist Leonard Widewski. The pair of Polish Christmas albums now reduced from $24.

Seller: Cat's Curiosities, Pahrump, NV, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Not a book but a pair of 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm stereo vinyl LPs. Monitor MFS 361 (1961?) shows near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus glossy color cardboard jacket, the troupe offering To I Hola, Pod Borem, Muzyczka, Wyszlabym Za Dziada, Ogarek, etc. Jacket states "Complete English and Polish Texts Enclosed," but if there was originally a lyric sheet, it's missing. Volume 3, meantime, is a 1965 Polish release in a flimsier cardboard jacket, Muza Polaskie Nagrania XL 0143, near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus cardboard jacket with a red metallic "stereo" sticker affixed to top right of jacket front panel. Here we get the repeat offerings "Muzyczka," "Dolina," and "Wyszlabym Za Dziada," but also "Ptzyspiewki Wielkopolskie," "Przyspiewki Zywieckie," etc. The group first toured North America in 1961; On a follow-up North American tour in 1982, 11 members of the troupe defected to Canada, stating they left because they "wished to be treated as human beings with rights." (Presumably this was before Justin Trudeau started imprisoning Christian ministers for holding church services, seizing people's private bank accounts if they drove their vehicles in protests, and forcing them to eat bugs.) Price for the pair of Mazowsze LPs on two different labels, now reduced from $15.
