1st printing. Unpaginated, though 12 pp. Printed in 'French fold' format. Quotes from Dickens novels to most pages, with Tiny Tim quoted under the dinner's menu, "God bless us, every one." Illustrated with 3 tipped-in photogravures [Dickens, Birthplace in Portsmouth, Gads Hill]. 8-1/2" x 6-1/4" The 'Dickens Centenary Committee' notes in a footnote on p. 1 that Dickens dined at Delmonicos during his 1868 visit to the States, 4 days before his return to England, which, no doubt, was the impetus for selecting this restaurant as the venue for the celebratory dinner. Some wear, soiling & age-toning to covers, which are starting to detach. An About VG copy of an uncommon piece of Dickensiana. Printed self wrappers. Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve.
