Inscribed by author on front endpaper, and additionally SIGNED (without further inscription) beneath his name on the title-page. Some toning to edges. Light shelf-wear to cover. Otherwise a clean, tight and unmarked book. Very neat. 16-page publisher's catalogue for 1908 at rear. The third impression of the first edition. viii,386+16[Publisher's cat.]pp. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Inscribed/Signed by Author. Book.

Barnstead) on the rear fep; the boards show wear & soiling, hinges are cracked, but holding; pages show toning; another previous owner's name is on ffep; soiling to page edges; page tips of some of the catalogue pages in rear are torn & missing.
