Signed and numbered by the artist (Blake) on the publishing info page. Numerous colour illustrations in text, some full page. Tight binding, internally clean and unmarked. Housed in the original slipcase, covered with maroon paper, gilt letters on the slipcase designed by the artist. Fine condition. This translation of The Golden Ass was first published by Penguin Books in 1998, and reprinted with revisions in 2004. The text of this edition follows the revised 2004 edition, with minor emendations. Copy #635 of 1000. Including publisher's prospectus.
