Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a comprehensive examination of the field of anatomy, encompassing the study of the human body's structures and their functions. The author, an esteemed authority in the field, presents a systematic approach to understanding the complexities of the human body, from its basic components to its intricate systems. The book begins by exploring the fundamental concepts of anatomy, including the various levels of organization and the interplay between structure and function. It then delves into the study of tissues, the building blocks of the body, and their diverse roles in supporting and carrying out bodily functions. Organs, the next level of organization, are examined in detail, highlighting their specific functions and interrelationships within larger systems. Delving deeper, the book explores the systems of the human body, such as the skeletal, muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems. Each system is analyzed in terms of its unique components, their coordinated actions, and their contributions to overall bodily functions. The author emphasizes the connections between different systems, showcasing the intricate interplay that maintains homeostasis and allows for complex bodily processes. The book concludes by examining the integration of anatomy with other fields of biology, such as physiology and pathology. This approach highlights the importance of understanding the structure of the body in relation to its function and the impact of disease on its normal functioning. But Robin was responsible for its final acceptance and for the later elaboration of the concept of general biology in French scientific circles. His positivist biology exercised a significant influence on the orientation of physiological, medical and zoological research in France. He set forth in detail his own ideas on biology in two books : Du microscope and tableau d'anatomie.". (DSB XI)**4513/B5DE-4516/CART9.…
