Illustrated throughout with numerous product examples. Tipped in is the equally scarce 1922 Ernst Leitz catalogue, advertising the "New Mono-binocular Microscope AABM". A fascinating, contemporary microscopy catalogue from the leading German optical systems and optoelectronics manufacturer. Founded in 1846 by optician Carl Zeiss, the company specialised in microscopes and similar optical systems. By the end of the First World War, Zeiss had also cemented itself as the world's largest producer of cameras. In the publisher's original soft covers. Tipped in is the equally scarce 1922 Ernst Leitz catalogue, advertising the "New Mono-binocular Microscope AABM" and featuring two loose inserts, one of which features corrected pricing in contemporary pen. Externally, generally smart with reasonable shelf wear, featuring cracking and loss of cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Edges also beginning to peel, and covers feature a light scattering of additional marks. Ernst Leitz insert a little more worn, showing stronger marking and edge wear, culminating in a chip to the top edge. Internally, a little delicate, especially to the first four pages. First page is stamped with the words: "All prices herein increased by 10% August 1925." Faint tide mark to the binding between the second and third page.
