Add to basketFirst edition, number 77 of 230 copies printed. 8vo., original quarter green cloth with hand-marbled paper boards in green, pink and blue by Ann Muir. Oldham, Incline Press. This delightful volume was commissioned by Marie's sister, Polly Devlin, on the occasion of a family gathering to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Heaney contributes 11 poems from 22 contributions. Given the private nature of the book, it is not surprising that most copies were reserved for family members. The marbled papers were individually created and only three covers were fashioned from each sheet, so the edition runs to about sixty diverse bindings according to the printers. A fine copy.
