Seller: LUCIUS BOOKS (ABA, ILAB, PBFA), York, United Kingdom
First Edition
First English edition of the German philosopher's seminal text in critical theory. Publisher's original red cloth with titles in gilt to the upper board and spine. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm with a little rubbing to the extremities and mild fading of the spine. The contents, with the ownership name of Vincent Geoghegan (Professor Emeritus of Political Theory, Queen's University, Belfast) in ink on the front endpaper, are otherwise clean throughout. The closed top edge of the text block is a little dusty. Scarce. Written between 1944 and 1949, and first published in Germany in 1951 (Minima Moralia: Reflexionen aus dem beschädigten Leben), Adorno's literary and philosophical masterpiece has exercised a profound influence over the development of critical theory. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request. Lucius Books welcomes direct contact with our customers.
