Presumed first edition, softcover with unopened leaves in glassine wraps, appears to be inscribed by Leroquais on the half title page, the book has bumps with creasing to the covers and pages at the spine ends and corners, splitting and cross tears to the base 2" of the spine, a previous owner's stamp to the front, and toning to the first and last end pages. Overall, this is a solid, Good copy in like wraps, which is chipped at the spine ends and corners with a larger loss at the base of the spine, wear with tears and tiny chips along the edges, hinges and folds, and light toning to the spine and edges.

The spine ends and corners have rubbing and wear. The spine of the book has two scrapes and several spots of wear. The endpapers are a dark blue silk and both front and rear pastedown pages have gilt decorations around all edges, and there is a gilt monogram on the front pastedown as well. The edges of the text block are all gilded (A. E. G. ) The pages are all clean and bright, and the pages all have illustrations on the outer and bottom edges.
