Condition: Fine in fine jacket. Dust Jacket Condition: dj. First edition. Inscribed first printing of Bradley's influential re-evaluation of Arthurian legend. THE MISTS OF AVALON breathes life into the character of Morgan le Fay and other women in the Arthurian cycle who traditionally had not been drawn with such complexity. The book was welcomed as a major new interpretation of the centuries-old mythos, epic in scale and dramatically wrought. Once venerated as a revisionist feminist classic, THE MISTS OF AVALON is perhaps the most likely of Bradley's many works to survive the destruction of her personal legacy. 9'' x 6.25''. Original black quarter cloth with grey boards. Spine and front cover stamped in copper. In original unclipped ($16.95) dust jacket. xi, 876 pages. Inscribed by Bradley to title page: "For Bill and Susan / Marion Zimmer Bradley". Slight shelfwear. Signed.
