The "personnels" (jacket spells it that way consistently) here include Cootie Williams, Bubber Miley, Tricky Sam Nanton, Johnny Hodges, Barney Bigard, Harry Carney, Duke Ellington, and others, offering "Beggars Blues, "Hot and Bothered," "Blues of the Vagabond," etc., while Mr. Ellington plays piano solos of "Black Beauty" and "Swampy River."
