Professeur de mécanique durant 37 ans, dont 13 au lycée Champollion, c'est à la retraite en 1995 que Maurice Francoual dit Momo s'est fixé à Saint-Pierre-Toirac. En 2014, il publie le 1er tome de ses «élucubrations». La retraite arrivant, il note dans un carnet tout ce qui lui passe par la tête : blagues, poèmes, fariboles, pensées, etc. Il vient de publier ses «réflexions» dans un petit livre intitulé «Élucubrations de Momo». Un concentré d'humour personnel, coloré, loufoque, égrillard, voire coquin par moments. Dans le tome 2 Il y raconte tout ce qui lui passe par la tête, fait de vie, poèmes, blagues coquines voire plus. En effet, rattrapé par la maladie et les longues nuits d'insomnie, il «élucubre» encore. «J'avais une retraite heureuse jusqu'à la découverte de la catastrophe dit-il. Pourtant je le prends avec philosophie. Dans son ouvrage, on retrouve ses blagues coquines, ses poèmes, mais également de longues pages sur sa maladie. Ce livre est une belle ode à la vie. Une formidable envie de la croquer encore malgré les aléas. Publié par l' auteur en 2017 , broché avec une couverture souple en très bon état, format 21x15 cm , 70 pages. Dédicacé par l'auteur.

He also painted a girl doll and a cat doll in watercolors near his signature; this measures 4.5x4 inches. Light green cloth boards with blue ink illustration of cat collar with a bell; blue lettering to spine. Bright and lovely illustrated endpapers. Very clean and crisp copy; no writing or marks (apart from Yashima's). Just a touch of rubbing to tips, else a FINE copy. Gorgeous color quality! Scarce in such lovely condition. Signed by rubber stamp ("tampon") by Artaud on the colophon. One of his last works. Protective sheet over colophon (shown in last photo) has left a shadow on the colophon page.
