Bound in blue cloth covered hard boards, gilt lettering and design to spine and upper board, top edge gilt. A study of pre-colonial architecture in Java, mostly focussed on the temples at Prambanan (Hindu) and Borobodur (Buddhist). The author lived and worked in Java from 1874 to 1903. The book is clean and unmarked internally, binding solid; the lower corner of the upper board has some discolouration and there is spine fade. Grades Very Good.
