Veronique Filozof y confie son « enorme chagrin » a la suite du deces de son premier mari (pere de ses deux enfants), emporte par un cancer generalise. Elle decrit avec beaucoup d'emotion son agonie de 8 jours, evoquant une « souffrance d'enfer » mais aussi une « complete transformation vers "le Bien" ». L'artiste mentionne la Galerie de Beaune, et relate une anecdote survenue a Dijon : elle y conseille au medecin de son defunt mari, desireux de comprendre la peinture de Picasso et de Georges Rouault, d'aller ecouter les conferences de son correspondant.
