Written by Lewis between 1908-10 and here reproduced from the pages of a typescript discovered in a London junkshop in the 1950s (and now held by Cornell University Library). 8vo. 365pp + ii editor's note. Card wrappers. Some off-set browning to the half-title from where a clipping was once stored, else in fine state. 2,000 copies were printed.
Cloth. Condition: Near Fine. Not Stated (illustrator). An early edition of this previously unpublished novel by Wyndham Lewis. Found in the unclipped dust wrapper. Although Wyndham Lewis wrote Mrs Dukes' Millions between 1908 and 1910, the novel was not published until 1977. This early edition is found in the unclipped dust wrapper. Lewis was a British writer, painter and critic, who co-founded the early twentieth century Vorticist movement. In the publisher's original grey cloth binding, found in the unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards. The dust wrapper has some light handling marks. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout. Near Fine. book.
