Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. This VG+ book was published in 1903 by Lothrop Publishing Company; if it was issued with a jacket, there is no jacket now. It is 7-1/2" x 4-3/4", with 291 numbered pages and 4 unnumbered pages of ads; the book is square and reasonably clean. It is free of corner bumps and edge dings, though the lower corners have a very slight bit of wear; bottom edges have virtually no wear. The spine ends are bumped, without fabric wear or other damage. The spine is lightly toned, but both the lettering and the illustrations are undamaged. The front panel is completely intact. There is a page listing the frontis + 3, all of which are present and firmly attached. The interior is very clean and completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage. The paper is slightly toned and is very slightly stiff but still flexible and not at all brittle; end pages have some slight toning. Hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. Apparently a rather rare baseball book.
