xvi,310 pp. Octavo. Original blue lettered black cloth. All edges trimmed. Very slight bumping on one corner. Front endpaper map. Frontispiece. 26 plates w/ titled tissue guards (including frontispiece). Overall a fine clean crisp copy with no foxing. Neate S63. Account of one of the great mountain explorations, penetrating the Rishi Gorge to the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, by Shipton and Tilman. This copy from the library or R.M. Patterson noted Canadian adventurer and explorer in the Nahanni area, Northern British Columbia and Alberta. He has signed and dated the back of the endpaper in the year of publication.
