Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Very good: Book shows rubbing of spine/panels, fraying of spine ends, bumping of panel corners-edges.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Book Club. Lightly shaken in moderately soiled blue buckram boards. Corners moderately bumped. Head/heel of spine heavily rubbed/creased. Spine rubbed and lightly wavy/dimpled. Page edges toned and flecked. Front and rear illustrated endpapers bright and clean. 1.5' closed tear to bottom of front illustrated pastedown where it meets gutter. Previous owner bookplate on ffep. Rear hinge cracked exposing hinge cloth/webbing. Still holding and could easily be repaired. Interior clean with no markings. Sparse light touch grime. The occasional bent corner. Engaging color and b&w illustrations by E. Parin D'Aulaire. 189 pages.
