Front and rear illustrated endpapers bright and clean. 1.5' closed tear to bottom of front illustrated pastedown where it meets gutter. Previous owner bookplate on ffep. Rear hinge cracked exposing hinge cloth/webbing. Still holding and could easily be repaired. Interior clean with no markings. Sparse light touch grime. The occasional bent corner. Engaging color and b&w illustrations by E. Parin D'Aulaire. 189 pages.
