The New Decameron (Third Volume), Basil Blackwell, 1922, First Edition, First Impression The Third and final Volume of a series of books each containing 10 short stories. The book contains the first and rare appearance of D.H. Lawrence's story "Wintry Peacock". Other stories are by Compton Mackenzie and V. Sackville-West amongst others. The first two volumes tell of the departure from London of a party of men and women on an unconventional tour of Europe under the guidance of Mr. Hector Turpin, organiser and inventor of Turpin's Temperamental Tours. The members of the party formed the habit of telling stories at suitable moments of their journey and ten tales each day were told.
