Condition: Very good condition. Large folding map of Brooklyn, with only one copy recorded at the New York Historical Society, oriented with north to the extreme right. "Entered according to Act of Congress by Gaylord Watson in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington D.C." From south of Greenwood Cemetery to Hunter…'s Point ward in the north, in the east "Cemetery of the Evergreen- " Also showing Manhattan up to 44th Street. Folds into pristine dark brown buckram covers, title in gilt at front board. Advertisement at front paste down printed on pink paper, for Lain's Brooklyn Street Guide by Lain & Co at 213 Montague Street, Brooklyn. The map measures 26 1/2 x 22"; covers 3 1/4 x 5 1/2". Many short cracks at corners. OCLC: 892577988 locates one copy at the New York Historical Society.
