Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Boards have minor damp and dust stains. Book has a slight forward lean. Boards are bowed. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.

This is a new edition 'considerably enlarged and improved from the original French' by Johann Pfeiffer. A hardback book with heavily embossed green boards. Size: 4 x 6 1/4 inches. Page number: 140. The German taught in this book is the old German. Condition: Very Good. The boards show little wear and are slightly spattered on the spine and back with white dots - paint? The pages are clean - just a few marks and light tanning to the end papers. They remain un-thumbed. The binding is tight. A previous owner's is written neatly in ink, on the 3rd page.

This edition is unknown to Library Hub and Worldcat, both of which record multiple similar editions from the 1850s to 1870s, usually in single copies.
