Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Set of 24 Volumes in white leatherette with gilt titling to spine and gilt decoration to front. Gilt top edge on all volumes. There are 23 books and 1 Index. The books are in Very Good condition. There are some bumps to spine ends and corners to several of the books. Volume I has two clean tears to the front cover; and, pages 535-550 have been torn and almost shredded in the center of the pages. Volume 12 has two 1" splits to the rear gutter. Volume 13 has one 1" x 3" tear to the lower rear cover, and one 1" x 1/2" tear to the top of the rear cover. These flaws are such that the shelf appearance of the set is unencumbered. No names or writing in books. This is the only one of this magnificent Britiannica set offered on the Internet at the time of listing -- and at a Bargain Price. (Many heavy books may require additional postage.) Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Inscribed by Author(s).
