Two printed letters from the pu…blisher are laid in, the first from the board chairman of the association and a representative, dated January and February 1926 respectively, talking about the purpose of the book, and the desire to spread Buddhist teachings to foreign countries. Another note printed opposite the colophon is similar, stating that the association will not stop until it has managed to reach the greatest number of people possible and provided the materials for them to study Buddhism by themselves.
