Paperback, 53 pp.; 25 cm; illustrated with color and black-and-white reproductions. Introduction by Dario Durbe, catalogue by Enrico Piceni. In Good condition with a Good dust jacket. Grey card covers with blue lettering in illustrated dust jacket. Small nick to front cover at top of spine and light bumping and creasing to edges and corners of covers; Glued and string binding starting to pull at top but binding is still intact. Pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has a 1" tear at top edge near spine and a few other smaller nicks and tears, with bumping and creasing to edges, light overall shelfwear, and color loss along edges and spine. Exhibition catalogue for the show held at Stair Sainty Matthiesen gallery, New York, March 14 to April 20, 1984. Features 11 color illustrations of artwork and 3 black-and-white portraits of the artists. The catalogue examines how three Italian painters (Giovanni Boldini, Giuseppe De Nittis, and Federico Zandomeneghi) left Italy for Paris, where their experience of the artistic life transformed their styles and subject matter, and how their work related to the French Impressionist movement, particularly to Degas.
