    Hardback. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No dustjacket. First. A first UK edition hardback in good condition for its age. The book lacks a dust jacket. Stated "this book is produced in complete confirmity with the authorised economy standards." Bumped at head and tail of book spine. The boards are grubby and stained and there is the mark of a cup on the front board. The pastedowns are creased. Minor stain on front end paper getting more and more faint, which runs through to page 13, Light tanning to pages and the page edges are grubby. The photos make the boards look much brighter than they are and are not showing up the staining very well. SYNOPSIS: "Henry Watlington mysteriously disappears after an evening out. His chauffeur was found drunk by a passing policeman who drove the car and occupants home . Shortly afterwards Watlington's body is found hidden in an AA phone box and the chauffeur under a hedge with no knowledge of how he got there.
