Colour illustrations. 150pp. A record of artwork by Sian Bowen inspired by the Dutch explorer Willem Barents' winter trapped on ice off the Arctic island of Nova Zembla (1596). Collections of drawings from that expedition held in the Rijksmuseum in Amersterdam are the basis of her work. Author's signature to half-title page thus, "To David, All good wishes, Sian 29.5.12". Both book and unclipped dust jacket are in excellent condition. All contents are tight and clean. There are no other inscriptions. SIGNED COPY.
