Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 18.5 x 24.8 cm tan cloth backed red paper covered boards with pictorial image to the front and titles to the front and spine. 92[4]pp with 4 full page colour plates and 4 black and white illustrations by Florence Anderson in original dust jacket. The boards have been well protected by the dust jacket and are clean and bright with only a hint of shelf wear and a little bruising to the corners. Internally there is a gift inscription to the front pastedown and occasional handling marks and a little light spotting, mainly to the edge of the text block. The plates are all present and undamaged. The scarce dust jacket which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown) is dust stained with rubbing to the spine tips and edges. There is a 1cm long hole along the fore edge of the front flap and a 1.5 cm closed tear to the rear joint at the head of the spine. All in all a very good looking 1st Edition copy of this version of the Nutcracker.
