Bifolium letterhead 11" x 8½", approx. 20 lines on illustrated stationery printed in orange blue and black; some wrinkling, previous folds; all else very good. "Am glad to know you are coming up for a canoe trip. We furnish as Don told you grub and full equipment. Am out of grub lists at this time but you can be assured that you will have plenty of everything and a good variety . The cost will be $18 per day - 6 days $108 - towage to Basswood and return $4 each or $24.00. You are expected to make a $5 deposit per man previous to your arrival." Pages 2 and 3 of the stationery contain a dozen stock photographic illustrations of a campsite, canoeing adventures, fishing, scenic landscapes, a moose, etc. On the verso of the stationery is a map of "The Greatest Wilderness Canoe Country in America" (i.e. the Superior-Quetico boundary waters), also printed in red, blue, and black. Long before Olson started writing books on the wilderness and environmental issues, he was a canoe guide "for J.C. Russell's outfitters on Fall Lake in Winton, Minnesota, before purchasing the business in 1929. By 1931 Olson ran Border Lakes Outfitters outside of Winton MN on the west end of Fall Lake serving the boundary waters area" (Wikipedia).
