Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a guide to scoring music for an orchestra, suitable for both musical scholars and aspiring composers. The author details the technical and musical characteristics of each instrument in the orchestra, with a focus on their combination, contrast, colour, balance of tone, and accompaniment of voices. The author draws from a wide range of classical music to demonstrate his ideas. The book also includes insights into the practicalities of scoring, such as how to arrange a score, the best keys for different instruments, and how to notate special effects. Whether you're a student, composer, or simply curious about orchestration, this book will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. Fourth Impression 2 Bde. XIV, 287 S.; XI, 290 S. Jeder Band m. zahlr. Notenbsp. OLn. m. goldgeprgt. Rückentitel u. blindgeprgt. Deckeldekor.
