From the dust jacket flap: "Five friends habitually play golf together, including Detective Inspector Ashdown of Scotland yard. Investigating a series of jewel robberies that are causing consternation among London's smart set. Ashdown at length becomes convinced that the criminal is one of his four friends". Yellow cloth with blue lettering, the spine in addition decorated with a blue owl all in very good, clean condition with square corners. No internal markings. Original endpapers and contents very clean. Top page edge blue but faded. Clean, bright copy. Unclipped dust jacket rubbed at folds, rear panel slightly soiled. Very slight chipping at spine ends (no lettering loss) and fold ends, protected in mylar. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
