In-8 (22 x 17 cm), 171 pp., 1 f., broché. Softcover. Portraits, illustrations, fac-similés Livre rare, probablement publié à compte d'auteur. Le livre comporte deux parties : la première un résumé de la jeunesse d'Hervé Artur par sa mère, puis une sélection de lettre d'Hervé Artur à différents membres de sa famille, suivi de lettres, discours d'hommage au soldat et à sa section. Hervé Artur commandait une section du 9° régiment d'infanterie coloniale en Algérie, cette section fut prise en embuscade le 18 mai 1956 et presque totalement décimée. Bel exemplaire, enrichi d'une dédicace autographe de Mme Artur.
