Folio. One page, with blank verso and integral leaf, docketed verso "Final Certificate / of / William Philips / for / Naturalization." Philips, a native of Great Britain, here renounces allegiance and fidelity to the Queen of Great Britain and Ireland, having sworn to support the Constitution of the United States. Several short separations at folds, browning in large spots.

Partially printed document, 6 ¼ x 7 ½ inches, headed "State of Tennessee." McGavock, a native of Virginia, became a politician and planter near Nashville, building "Canton," which served as a field hospital following the Civil War Battle of Franklin. Uniformly browned, but very good.

Folio, printed recto only on the first leaf of a bi-folium, the integral leaf blank. Tax (?) stamp "Republique D'haiti / 100" upper left corner. The cargo listed consists of various amounts of five products: 193 bags of coffee, 10 demijohns of palm oil, 59 baskets of gin, 23 crates of merchandise, and 60 crates of cigars, all to be shipped to the United States on the "Bateau americain Good hope." The Republic of Haiti (for the entire island of Santo Domingo) was formed in 1820 under Jean-Pierre Boyer who ruled as President through 1843. Folded, but very good.
