Condition: Fair. 1935. Popular Edition. 254 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth boards with lettering. Pages and binding are presentable with common faults. Text is legible throughout. Some issues present such as cracking, inscriptions, inserts, moderate foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Binding remains firm. Boards have noticeable shelf wear with rubbing and corner bumping. Moderate sunning and marking. Lettering is darkened.

Original Red Cloth Hardback. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 1935. 254pp. Previous owner's inscription to front pastedown, small. Content clean, binding tight. Slight wear to extremities of book, some to bottom of spine and top of spine. Rear hinge bears slight tear at top and bottom. Spine bears slight fading.

Green Cloth. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: No Wrapper. Fourth Impression. 319pp. A fourth impression copy ( 1910). A scarce novel by this Irish author (1863 - 1951)- best known for his novel, 'The Blue Lagoon'. The book comes in a green cloth casing - but is sprung with the rear board almost entirely separated from the textblock. Some rubbing and splitting to the rear outer hinge and for 1 cm to the front outer hinge. There are a couple of splits to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine and rubbing to the board corners. Light scattered foxing to the front end paper, half title page and fore edges, with the odd foxpsot encroaching onto the margin of the odd page. There is a neat ink name inscription to the half title page, dated July 1910. A few page corners have been turned,leaving a neat crease. The textblock is clean and tight. A fair copy.

Slight edge wear to DJ and closed tear a bottom of front cover but in protective cover. Very slight edge wear to base of spine and browning to block. Previous owner's name stamped into FEPs but all in all a very good example.

Contains 254 printed pages of text. Cheap paper browning to the page edges and end papers. Good condition book in scarce Good condition period artwork dust wrapper with small chips across the spine ends and corners, priced 2/6. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection.
