Hardcover. Condition: Fair. [Unique Work: An original book of mounted photographs of early textile patterns] There is no date provided, but based on the binding and paper I believe this book was created in the mid-19th century (1860-1890s?). The book consists of 105 mounted photographs of textile patterns over blank pages. There is no associated text or writing beyond the the leather title on the front cover, "Pattern's Patented." I acquired this book in Massachusetts, which had a rich industrial history of textile manufacturing. This is an interesting work whose origins could probably be determined by reviewing historical patterns. Some staining to the blank pages, mostly at the front of the book. Spine taped, leather weakened. Most plates in good or better condition.
