Hardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. Hansi (illustrator). Folio (14 x 11 inches). Pp. 60 [4]. No date. Commemorating the sufferings and final freedom and victory of Alsace-Lorraine after WWI. Full of wonderful, complex and lively colored illustrations by "Hansi," (Jean-Jacques Waltz, 1873-1951) an artist from Colmar, a French patriot in two World Wars, hunted, imprisoned and wounded by the Nazis for caricaturing the Germans. INSCRIBED ON THE HALF-TITLE "SOUVENIR DE COLMAR-EN-FRANCE. HANSI." With colorful patterned end papers, in cloth boards illustrated in color and gilt. Covers soiled; inner hinges broken and mended; worn at extremities and spine. Bookplate. Entirely in French. Inscribed by Author(s).
