This copy is a presentation copy from the author to her daughter, Philippa Rose, signed to the title page of Volume I: 'Philippa Rose, from her affectionate mother'. Also containing the Rose family bookplate to the front pastedown of Volume I.With half titles present to all three volumes.A scarce to find work. In contemporary half calf with marbled boards. Externally, smart, with just some light shelf wear and some rubbing to the joints and extremities. Spines are slightly faded. Author's ink inscription to the title page of Volume I, and a Rose family bookplate to the front pastedown of Volume I. Internally, hinges are starting. Remaining binding is firm. A few spots to the first and last few pages, which are otherwise bright and clean. Very Good. signed by author. book.
